Flowing concrete…

We are very pleased to have teamed up with Arun Pumpcrete (www.arunpumpcrete.co.uk) very recently to complete a small flowing concrete installation in Gosport. The customer’s floor was beyond repair and the builder decided it was best to dig out the existing floor in this 16 square metre area and start again. After placing a stable, compacted base and a 1,200 gauge damp proof membrane, a 100mm concrete layer was then required. However, depths were tight and access was very limited as the building’s front door was right on the road.

Designed to negate the need to power float, our flowing concretes are suitable as a finished surface on which to place a floor covering, with no need to install a screed. This concrete IS the finished surface. Coupled with Arun Pumpcrete’s flexible, easy access concrete pumps, we pumped right through the front door and the entire installation was completed in less than 2 hours!

The Brighton Marathon…

We are proud and pleased to announce that James (our Installations Manager) will be running the Brighton marathon on 12th April 2015 for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex and cares for over 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-shortening conditions from East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire.

Their care services extend to the whole family – not just the child, but mums, dads, grandparents, sisters and brothers. Their aim is to make every day count. The good days, the bad days and the last days.

James is currently in training, running 6 miles every other day this week, with a big 8-10 mile run on Sunday.

We’ve shown our support by sponsoring James to achieve what will be quite a feat! If you can spare a penny and you too feel it’s a worthy cause, you can also sponsor James by following this link: www.justgiving.com/jamesgoff.

Good luck James! The ELS team will be there on the day to cheer you across the finish line.
